Don't use Sinks...Call Gina Lynne florist instead. Couldn't leave flowers at house unattended. When I explained someone would be there within an hour to get them Lady still would not deliver them unless someone was there. She talked over me, was rude and hung up on me when I told her I paid $100 for a large display and wanted them delivered when promised or I wanted a full refund. Had to call credit card company for a reversal of charges. Then I called Gina Lynne Flowers and had them delivered within an hour. Call Gina Lynne for great customer service and great flowers!
Two stars for the flowers themselves, they are quality and beautiful flowers. However the two times I've used sink's services, I felt like I was being intentionally made to feel dumb. The first time I called ahead to ask if there were any stargazers; I was told there were but the flowers were not open yet. I let the lady know I was going to stop in in about an hour. When I came in, she had made a comment to me as though I should have placed an order ahead of time (this could have been explained to me on the phone), and as though I was an inconvenience for stopping in to buy just 4 lilies. I have used many flower shops' services before and none of which ever had a problem with a walk in order for just a few flowers, nothing big. In this particular instance I had no problem waiting, and I was made to feel like I was rushing her. Many of the other women were nice, however.
Don't use them when living out of the area. I live in California. And for years I used Waalands, with no complaints. But when Vern the owner retired I was shuttled over to Sinks. And they have been doing grave site wreaths for my mom and dad. But the issue is that despite asking them by mail and email, both, to send me a snapshot of the wreaths they put on my parent graves, they have not done that. In fact they don't even acknowledge my requests. They are quick to take my money, but they show me nothing in return. I do not recommend them for long distance transactions.
This most recent experience I called and asked for a delivery hours ahead of time. The same lady answered the phone, and I placed an order for a dozen yellow roses. First I had asked for a price, and I was told that depended on the type of rose. I specifically had asked for yellow, and I repeated this fact (kindly) and the lady told me she didn't know if she has those (she didn't check for me either). She asked if they didn't if I had a second choice. I was taken a little aback, but I told her white would be fine (though I wanted yellow for a specific reason). SHE THEN ASKED if pink, or orange, or red would be okay if they didn't have white either, and her tone was rather annoyed as though I didn't know what color rose I wanted to order. How can you not tell me what you do or do not have? I never got a price, the flowers were delivered however I had to ask my fiancée what color roses were delivered (they were yellow with a red tip, her seeming rather surprised I didn't even know myself), and on top of that, after having paid 65 dollars (finding out after I checked my bank statement), it was delivered with one of the roses in the middle of the bouquet snapped clean off the stem hanging by a strand.
Never using this flower shop again. The flowers themselves convinced me to give just one more star than I want to. Ordering/buying flowers shouldn't be this difficult or mysterious.
I'll be asking for a refund tomorrow , I paid way more than my girl was sent. I could've bought those flowers at Walmart for a 1/10th of the price
