Good people.. a real hardware store...
Great place downtown to get your hardware supplies.
Called as I needed to return an item this evening and wanted to know when they closed. Lady on phone said they close at 5:30. I leave my house at 5:12 and arrive at 5:27 but the doors are locked. Lady inside sees me, shrugs her shoulders and mouths we close at 5:25! Had to run across town to get the item I needed asap. This is a textbook definition of poor customer service and one which will result in me no longer shopping there. I'm all for supporting small business but not honoring your word will make me go elsewhere.
Great place me and my wife always go there we love the store and the people who work there expecally Jenny the cashier..
This Ace is why they still use the tagline "helpful hardware folks." It is entirely true. The expertise and friendly service make shopping for hardware a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Update: Spoke to Store Manager Jim Brown on 12/15 and explained above situation. His response was to tell me he's sure other stores close early and that he's sure his employees always say 5:25 as closing time. Went up front to speak to Heather at front desk and she lies about entire experience. Overall, had no interest in hearing my feedback so adjusted rating to 1/5. Make a better shopping choice.
